The upcoming Star Wars trilogy will take place after “Return of the Jedi”, a time period that has, in film, not been fully explored. But Lucasfilm has been filling that time since 1991 with hundreds of books, games, and comics (the latest book set forty years after “Return of the Jedi!). The new trilogy, the first of which to be directed by J.J. Abrams, will probably ignore most of what is known as the “Expanded Universe”, but at the same time, there is a wealth of material to draw from.
