The upcoming Star Wars trilogy will take place after “Return of the Jedi”, a time period that has, in film, not been fully explored. The new trilogy, the first of which to be directed by J.J. Abrams, will probably ignore most of what is known as the “Expanded Universe”, but at the same time, there is a wealth of material to draw from.
