There is a scene in Pride and Prejudice during Elizabeth’s stay at Netherfield, in which Elizabeth, Mr. Darcy and Miss Bingley discuss their view of the Ideal Woman. Miss Bingley and Mr Darcy, both wealthy and upper class, have a pretty strict but fashionable view of the Ideal Woman.
